How We Plan & Run Every Hotel Photoshoot
The first thing we do on any hotel photography project is talk. We need to understand your property, and we need to know where these images are going, because a photo for a booking site and a photo for a print brochure aren’t always the same photo.
Before the shoot, we’ll go over your marketing objectives with you. We list out the areas to be photographed (lobby, a few room types, the spa, the rooftop, whatever’s on your list) and then we build a schedule around your hotel, not ours. The idea is to minimise disruption to guests and to your operations. You won’t find us dragging lights through reception during check-out.
Honestly, every project ends up needing a slightly different approach. Some clients are happy with a controlled studio environment. Others need us to bring a full production crew out to a hotel, a corporate office, a construction site, a retail location, sometimes an event venue. We just adjust.
During the shoot, our photographers get on with it efficiently. Each space gets shot when the lighting conditions are at their best, so we might do the restaurant in the afternoon and come back to the terrace once the sun is low.
After the session, we go through and pick the strongest frames. Every selected image is then professionally edited, with colour, lighting, and perspective all optimised, and handed over ready for hotel websites, booking platforms, brochures, and social media.
